Although this is a pirate release, the picture is quite good. Color fidelity and sharpness are good, as should be for a film only about one year old. There are a few specs on the print, but nothing more than normal. The 2.40:1 picture has been cropped down to 1.85:1. As of this writing, I haven't seen the official Eros edition of "Taal," which I hear has pretty bad picture. If I can, I will compare the two.
Sound
The sound is only a two channel stereo track, and a bad one at that. At times, my speakers sounded as if they were tearing. The bass sound very distorted. I've heard that the 5.1 soundtrack on the official disc is better.
Menu/Extras
The menus are still. The typical "Song Menu" and "Play Movie" options are included. No subtitles, no trailer, no scene selections.
Overall
The picture was surprisingly good for a bootleg, but since this movie centers around sound and music, I can't possibly recommend this disc because of the terrible sound.
